Much To Be Proud Of
This month we’ve got two important features for Dealerscope readers. The first is our eagerly anticipated 40-Under-40 feature—a roundup of the brightest rising stars in the consumer electronics industry. I think we had a record number of nominations this year, from all parts of the CE industry including retail workers, manufacturers, distributors and associations.
The vast and impressive accomplishments of all the nominees truly demonstrate the passion and dedication that people bring to this business. It shows us that for the most successful people, consumer electronics is more than just a job category or career path, it’s a lifetime pursuit. I know that personally. I’ve been in CE most of my professional life. Some of my best friends and best memories are associated with this business and I wouldn’t choose any other. The 40 inspiring people we selected for this year’s list make me proud to be part of the consumer electronics world.
The other important feature is our annual roundtable article on the warranty business. The extended service contract business has always been a vital part of the CE sales process. Especially now, in a time when many people are being cautious with their discretionary money, the warranty business is in a good position to offer people extra security.
