Apple, Verizon in Product Talks?
Multiple media reports Monday stated that Apple and Verizon are in talks to make a version of the iPhone available on the telecom giant's wireless network.
The New York Times, citing someone who had been briefed on the discussions, reported that Apple and Verizon are involved in "high-level discussions " about bringing an iPhone to Verizon as early as 2010.
The source told the Times that talks have intensified in recent weeks, but that no deal has yet been completed.
Meanwhile, BusinessWeek reported Monday that the Apple/Verizon discussions involve two "iPhone-like devices," one of which is a smaller "iPhone Lite," while the other is a media pad with multimedia functions that include music, video, and photo capability.
