Interest Shown in Firedog
The company handling the rest of Circuit City's liquidation said this week that "multiple parties" are interested in purchasing the remainder of the firedog installation service, Dow Jones Newswires reported Thursday.
An auction will be held August 18, with bids due a week before, for some of the companies remaining assets, including firedog and several Web domain names owned by Circuit City prior to its dissolution earlier this year.
Streambank, LLC was hired this spring to help distribute some remaining assets. Systemax, Inc., parent company of TigerDirect and CompUSA, won the the auction for Circuit City's name and most other major assets, and has since re-launched the company as an online-only retail business.
