myCharge Takes Portable Power to the Next Level
Two of the newest products by portable powerbank company myCharge include a solar charging solution and a powerbank with a bonus – a built-in high-intensity light.
The company’s new Power Lumens powerbank ($59.99), suitable for use as emergency lighting or for camping trips, said company spokesperson Katie Jennings, features a useful built-in light that has four levels of brightness and six different settings. It is available in either 10,000mAh (up to six times extra battery life) or 20,000mAh (up to 10 times extra battery life) and also features a convenient metal easel for propping it up and directing the light where it is needed most. The 10K version, demo’ed for us at NYC’s recent Pepcom event, offers 500 lumens of light at its highest setting and will produce light for 41 hours running on its lowest light setting.
The Solar Wallet ($59.99) is a three-panel solar charger with a removable 8,000mAh powerbank that the company says is ideal for outdoor use when camping, or for when there is no wall outlet available to recharge devices or powerbanks. The Solar Wallet can be recharged via the solar panels in the field or through a Micro USB at home. It can provide up to five times extra battery life for devices.
The company says that its full product line is designed with safety in mind; its batteries, certified to pass National Analysis Center (NAC) performance and safety standards, offer 12 layers of protection including defense against overheating and overcharging.
