Nationwide Garners 2017 Energy Star Partner Award
Nationwide Marketing Group was named a 2017 Energy Star Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award winner. The recognition was given in observance of the group’s leadership in promoting environmental protection through superior energy efficiency achievements, according to the announcement. The achievement will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Washington, D.C., on April 26.
The group has been an Energy Star partner since the program began 20 years ago, and is being honored for the initiatives that have given the group and its members a large share of the appliance and CE markets. Nationwide makes available to its dealer members an array of promotional messaging that includes a matrix of advertising and communications media. Nationwide said that members’ increased participation in exclusive promotional campaigns designed to increase consumer awareness of and interest in Energy Star products resulted in more than 10,000 campaigns featuring such products. Also, millions of Energy Star impressions have been delivered through Nationwide’s digital signage network.
“Nationwide Marketing Group values our partnership with Energy Star,” said Richard Weinberg, senior vice president of marketing for Nationwide. “Our strong relationships with both vendors and dealers have enabled us to drive sales of Energy Star-qualified products, thus retiring many older, less-efficient major appliances and consumer electronics.”
