Nationwide Marketing Group Earns 2018 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award
Independent retail buying and marketing organization Nationwide Marketing Group announced this week that the group has been named a 2018 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award winner. The award honors the group’s “continued leadership in promoting environmental protection through superior energy efficiency achievements.” The group will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy during an event in Washington, DC, later this month.
Nationwide and ENERGY STAR have had a partnership for more than 20 years, which has brought Nationwide member dealers access to a laundry list of ENERGY STAR compliant appliances and other products. Beyond the millions of dollars in energy and water savings, the Nationwide membership has helped generate greenhouse gas emission savings that total millions of metric tons since the partnership with ENERGY STAR was formed.
“Nationwide Marketing Group values our partnership with ENERGY STAR,” Richard Weinberg, SVP of Business Services for Nationwide, said in a statement. “Our strong relationships with both vendors and dealers has enabled us to drive sales of ENERGY STAR qualified products, thus retiring many older, less efficient major appliances and consumer electronics. In support of our members, we remain committed to continuing our work to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment. Additionally, our focus on products that meet the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient qualification has increased, allowing our Members to provide an even more outstanding value to the consumer.”
