NATM Buying Corp.
With fewer members, group sales in 2000 fell just shy of $3 billion, down from $3.1 billion in 1999, but that excludes furniture and housewares that some members carry.
This year will mark a few operational changes, starting with NATMcorp.com that launched last fall. Whirlpool now has inventory forecasting for NATM members on the site, and Thomson, Sony and Toshiba are expected to follow. In lieu of a fall vendor meeting, NATM members will meet in the fall at h.h. Gregg to critique and advise each other, and the buying groups will work with vendors individually through the year.
