Net Enforcers Acquired by Intersections, Inc.
The Internet security and brand protection firm Net Enforcers has been purchased in total by Intersections, Inc., the companies announced earlier this month. The purchase price is expected to be around $14 million in cash, with closing scheduled before the end of the year.
Intersections, the company behind the Identity Guard brand, was interested in Net Enforcers because it “complements our industry leading, consumer-focused identity theft protection services with a world class offering of corporate identity theft protection services,” Intersections CEO Michael Stanfield said in a statement announcing the deal. Net Enforcers is known for monitoring online brands and auctions in order to protect its clients’ intellectual property.
Net Enforcers’ co-founder and president, Joseph Loomis, was named to Dealerscope’s 40 Under 40 list earlier this year. Loomis will remain the top official in the company.
