Samsung has announced that it will begin including connectivity through Netflix to its Blu-ray players, as Netflix continues to reach partnerships with CE manufacturers. The DVD-by-mail company had previously reached similar deals with LG and Microsoft, and have also released a player along with Roku.
The deal may eventually lead to the software being embedded into actual televisions.
According to the Associated Press, the connectivity will be supplied through two models, the BD-P2500 and BD-P2550, which are already on the market; owners of the players will receive a free software upgrade. Future releases will have the software embedded.
