New Age Touts Green Supply Chain
New Age Electronics this week announced recent efforts aimed at removing waste and otherwise greening the process of the consumer electronics supply chain. The California-based company touted its four-pronged approach to making its process more energy-efficient.
New Age understands the importance of creating and implementing consumer electronic conservation programs and we are extremely proud to partner with manufacturers and retailers who are taking an aggressive stand in helping preserve the environment,” Chairman and CEO Lee Perlman said in a statement.
In its supply chain, New Age has used “creative repackaging” to package older products with complimentary ones. They have also made an effort to refurbish older products, by procuring only the needed parts and not wasting other ones, a move that also leads to lower prices.
