New Free Version of Photoshop Launched
Adobe has announced the impending launch of a new, free, Web-based version of Photoshop, which will allow users to edit, upload, and download their photos online, the AP reported Thursday.
The new site, called Photoshop Express, is meant to be used by consumers, as opposed to previous editions geared more towards professional photographers and editors. It is meant to compete with such sites as Photobucket, Flickr, and Picnik. The online version will allow users up to 2GB of images online for free.
“During the public beta period, Adobe will solicit Photoshop Express user feedback on product features and functionality, which will continue to evolve over time,” the company said in its announcement.
