The 50-inch, 16:9 screen has native HD resolution (1280 x 768) and a 160-degree viewing angle. The display converts NTSC signals to 480p and uses 3:2 pulldown on film-based sources. Yamaha RAV-2000 Touchpad Remote Control, $499 SRP, now shipping. Selling points: The RAV-2000 has a backlit LCD touchscreen with 320 x 240 resolution and also seven programmable hard buttons. All programming, including macros of up to 255 commands, is possible on a PC through a serial port.
