New Klipsch CEO on Product, Dealer Direction
Paul Jacobs recently replaced Fred Klipsch as CEO of the Klipsch Group, following the company's finalized acquisition by Audiovox. Jacobs joined Klipsch almost 20 years ago as head of sales, moving through the ranks to his most recent title of COO. He recently spoke with Jeff O'Heir, editor in chief of Dealerscope, about the company's post-acquisition direction, product roadmap and changes its dealers can expect.
Some of those changes include faster product delivery; the possibility of Klipsch entering the automotive market; new lines of powered, smart and design-oriented speakers; and new models of performance-oriented headphones. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
Dealerscope: In the recent earnings call, Pat Lavelle (Audiovox CEO) said the Audiovox is going to be a different company going forward. In what ways will Klipsch will contribute to that change?
