New Marketing Campaign for HD Radio
The HD Digital Radio Alliance on Monday announced a new marketing initiative, which will make use of both mobile, Internet and radio advertising.
“This campaign is the first to issue a call to action that will create a direct conversation with consumers,” the alliance’s president and CEO, Peter Ferrera, said in a statement. “By establishing a direct, instant relationship with consumers who show an interest in HD Radio, we begin to activate a whole new category of catalysts.”
The campaign entails providing information about the technology to anyone texting 34343 with the word “UPGRADE,” a service being pushed by new radio ads that are being taken out as part of a $57 million marketing campaign, the alliance said.
