New Sony Reader is Unveiled
Sony last week unveiled the third generation of its Sony Reader book-reading device, its first that includes a touchscreen display.
The device will contain a six-inch display, weigh 10 ounces, and include five pre-set text sizes. It can hold up to 350 books, a number that rises into the thousands with use of external memory cards.
“Readers now have another choice in digital books,” the company’s Digital Reading Business president, Steve Haber, said as part of the announcement. “This new model has the eye-popping design and intuitive functionality that people have come to expect from Sony.”
