Fesco Hosts 1,000 in First Dealer Show
The New York-based distributor Fesco played host to about 1,000 of its Northeast regional accounts in its first-ever dealer event, held Wednesday just a stone’s throw from LaGuardia Airport and the Billy Jean King National Tennis Center in the borough of Queens.
“We’re in an expansion mode,” says David Goldstein, director of sales and marketing, in explaining the decision by Fesco to host the two-day event, four months in the making, which showcased consumer electronics lines from approximately 50 vendors.
But the principal reason for mounting a show, he said, was that many clients had requested a venue where they could view the distributor’s entire line under one roof. The show featured several “event deals,” product giveaways, and other incentives, and was a prelude to Fesco’s planned launch, by early November, of a new dealer Web site. Goldstein says the site will offer dealers an easy way to check on product availability, inventory and pricing specials.
