Police Seek Walmart Robbery Suspect
Police in the Cincinnati area are seeking a suspect, James Lee Sullender, who they say participated in a shoplifting scheme last week along with a female accomplice, at which point he pulled a gun on store personnel and fled. According to local news station WKRC, Sulldender is thought by police to be "homicidal and suicidal."
hhgregg Arsonist Arrested
Law enforcement agencies in Florida this week arrested a man they say set four different fires at the same hhgregg store in Jacksonville last month. According to First Coast News, the 28-year-old man was charged with four counts of Arson to an Occupied Structure and Resisting Without Violence; he was caught after he showed up on surveillance cameras.
Walmart Employee Charged With Gift Card Fraud
A woman in Florida allegedly perpetuated a gift card fraud while working in a Walmart- a job she began while already awaiting sentencing for a separate credit card fraud. According to the Gainesville Sun, the woman used a check from her own account to purchase several gift cards worth hundreds of dollars, but never recorded the check in the register. When caught, she claimed she had used the same check multiple times because she had lost her debit card. The woman was charged with grand theft and scheming to defraud to obtain property, and may also be charged with violating probation.
