¥ Sega Pulls The Plug On Saturn
Sega ended shipments of its Saturn game system to the U.S. last month after reporting losses of ¥50 billion in their U.S. subsidiary. Since its launch in the summer of 1995, about 1.8 million Saturns were sold in the U.S., with 5.8 million sold in Japan. Sega plans to continue marketing the system in Japan. Sega said its 1997 U.S. Saturn sales dropped 90 percent as compared with 1996.
