75-Year-Old Cleared in Walmart Thefts
A 75-year-old Missouri man who police say stole $15,000 worth of electronics from an area Walmart has been cleared after he passed a polygraph test. According to Kansas City's Fox affiliate, police thought they had Glenn Stevens on surveillance video, but a bank receipt proved he was more than 100 miles away at the time of the thefts.
Family Ring Suspected in Thefts
A large family in Missouri is being investigated for a series of thefts throughout the state, which includes Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears, JCPenney and Macy’s robberies. According to the Kansas City Star, the ring's M.O. includes one thief distracting the cashier while others carry out the actual thefts.
Apple Store Ring Strikes in Greenwich
An Apple Store in Greenwich, Conn., was robbed in a smash-and-grab burglary earlier this month, in what police believe is the latest in a series of similar crimes. According to AppleInsider, five burglars carried out the thefts, which took place at 3 a.m. The ring has struck all over the East Coast.
