Nielsen: Mobile Technology, E-Commerce Innovations Driving “Borderless” Shopping
The rate of change and innovation in e-commerce and mobile technology is granting to consumers around the world unprecedented access to new products that, even just a few years ago, was nearly impossible. Hop on Amazon and you can find products from companies that are located either right down the street or even perhaps halfway around the globe. And a new survey conducted by Nielsen dove into just how big an impact these innovations have had on the e-commerce landscape and the consumer shopping experience.
For starters, the survey found that 57 percent of the online respondents in the survey made an online purchase in the last six months from an overseas online retailer.
