Nintendo Cuts Wii to $149
Nintendo Wednesday made its long-rumored Wii price cut official, dropping the price of the console to $149.99, a price that also includes the "Mario Kart Wii" game and a "Wii Wheel" accessory.
The company will also launch, on May 15, a series of "Nintendo Selects" games, at the price of $19.99. Games in the series include "The Legend of Zelda," "Twilight Princess," "Animal Crossing: City Folk, "Mario Super Sluggers" and "Wii Sports."
The price cut had been expected after Nintendo announced that it will unveil the Wii's successor at the E3 conference next month, and several retailers cut the Wii price on their own.
