Nintendo's president said last week that the company has no plans for a price cut for the Nintendo Wii console ahead of the holiday season.
According to the AP, Nintendo's Satoru Iwata said Friday that while a cut is possible sometime in the future, Nintendo is "not thinking of it for the near future."
The Wii currently sells for around $200. Its only price drop since its 2006 introduction took place in September of 2009.
