N.J. Governor Visits Future Panasonic Headquarters
The governor of New Jersey Tuesday commemorated the opening of the company's future North American headquarters by appearing with company executives and addressing employees.
Gov. Chris Christie appeared at the site of the company's new building in Newark. Panasonic announced plans to move its headquarters to the new location, which will host more than 1,000 employees when it opens in 2013.
"This is another success story about one of our largest businesses choosing to stay in New Jersey, and [us] continuing to grow and invest in our state and people," Governor Christie said in his speech, in comments released by Panasonic.
