On Friday, at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS), Sony announced that the 20GB version of the new PS3 would come with an HDMI output. Initially, only the 60GB version was to have this feature. Neither, however, will come with an HDMI cable, a fact noted with woe by the gaming community earlier this month.
In other high-def gaming news from TGS, Microsoft announced that an update to be released by the end of the year will allow for 1080p output from Xbox 360 consoles. The Xbox 360 also ships without an HDMI cable but, then again, it doesn’t have an HDMI output.
