No More Direct Sales For Gateway
Computer maker Gateway has decided to pull out of direct sales and instead switch to a retail-based model, the company said Friday.
“We believe that our retail and e-tail partners offer consumers the best, easiest and most effective way to purchase Gateway products,” Mark Hill, the U.S. General Manager for parent company the Acer Group, said as part of the announcement. “Moving forward, we are pleased to be able to offer Gateway products through thousands of retail storefronts and major online and telephone-based channel partners both in the United States and abroad.”
Acer purchased Gateway last year.
