No Refunds on the Way For HD DVD
Early adopters who purchased HD DVD players prior to the end of the format war will not receive refunds of any kind, Toshiba said this week.
According to a statement from the Japanese electronics company, quoted by the blog Valleywag.com, Toshiba says that “there is nothing wrong with the products so we aren’t accepting returns from customers.” The company also said that customers who purchased the players were fully aware of the risks of the technology becoming obsolete, and are therefore not entitled to refunds.
