Recycling Tips From CEA
Now that the DTV transition is complete, the Consumer Electronics Association is giving consumers advice on how to dispose of their obsolete analog televisions.
“Consumer electronics manufacturers and retailers have worked diligently to provide the public with access to easy and convenient recycling options, as have many state and local governments. Consumers play a critical role in making sure that electronics products are recycled responsibly," CEA vice president of environmental affairs Parker Brugge said as part of the group's announcement.
On the CEA Web site www.mygreenelectronics.org, the group gives customers lists of take-back and recycling locations in their area, as well as other advice on how to dispose of electronics in the proper manner.
