Viewers Like Connected TV
Nearly half of U.S. consumers currently own a connected TV and of those, 57 percent proclaimed themselves "very satisfied" with the technology, according to an NPD Group survey released this week.
NPD found that 57 of connected TV owners use their TVs to access Netflix, with another 47 percent using YouTube.
"Manufacturers are underselling the Internet features of connected TVs,” Ross Rubin, executive director of industry analysis at The NPD Group, said as part of the announcement. “Broadband features unlock worlds of on-demand content; manufacturers should provide the key by integrating Wi-Fi.”
