NuVision Sues Panasonic Over Tagline
The television and home entertainment center manufacturer NuVision on Monday announced that it is suing Panasonic over the latter company’s use of the phrase “High Definition Living” in its advertising. NuVision, which owns the trademark and has been using it since 2005, alleges that Panasonic, in using the phrase “Living in High Definition,” has “knowingly and willfully infringed upon” the trademark.
The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. NuVision added that it had warned Panasonic to stop using the phrase prior to the suit.
