October’s Hong Kong Electronics Fair: Forum for Innovations
Hong Kong is gearing up for its 35th Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), which will co-locate once again with the 19th electronicAsia exhibition. The Electronics Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and electronicAsia, jointly run by HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, return to the city from October 13 to 16, 2015.
The Electronics Fair is expected to host over 4,100 exhibitors who will showcase the newest electronic products, components and technologies for buyers; both fairs in 2014 attracted a total of around 95,000 buyers from more than 150 countries and regions.
The electronics industry is Hong Kong’s largest merchandise export earner, having accounted for 61 percent of the region’s total exports in 2014 to reach USD $287 billion – a six percent increase over the previous year. As the important trading hub of electronic products and components in Asia Pacific, Hong Kong is the ideal region for staging international trade exhibitions.
