Stereo Advantage: Holding the Advantage
Dave Workman, executive director of the PRO Group (Stereo Advantage has been a member for two years now), said the outfit is known for its persistent inventiveness. “They manage to keep their store in a perpetual state of evolution, much the way Abt does in Chicago,” said Workman. “That’s what it means to be a progressive retailer in today’s market.”
Walters agreed with that assessment. “We’re comfortable with the idea that we’re just always going to be changing,” he said.
In a recent letter to customers as part of Stereo Advantage’s 30th anniversary celebration, for example, it was clear Walters was thinking far beyond the Buffalo market. “Information, computer, Internet, audio and video technologies will allow us to provide our customers with solutions for direct visual and audio contact anywhere in the world with HD quality,” he wrote. “The possibilities are limitless.”
