OnForce Expands Retailer Installation Services
While some buyers may not want to pay their subcontractors that quickly, OnCall’s Chris Mauzy says the savings come back in the form of no accounts payable or bookkeeper, which he would otherwise need to track money associated with the job. When Sexton originally contacted Mauzy to do work for his company, Mauzy told him to go through OnForce, rather than working directly for him, because it was easier. “We could not employ Rich to keep him busy full time,” he said. “It’s a killer application because we get to manage all of our work in the [OnForce.com] dashboard. We can see where this individual is at, get e-mail reminders on everything, whether he has to reschedule or get a part. In terms of labor management, it’s the best thing out there.”
Mauzy also appreciates the ability to offer service right away. Having worked for both Best Buy and Ultimate Electronics, he remembers times when he had to tell a customer he couldn’t install a flat panel for a week or two. Today, he can go online and have an installer on site that day or the next.
