OtterBox’s OtterSpot Wireless Charging System
With more stay-at-home family members craving powered-up devices during the coronavirus crisis, OtterBox is spotlighting its rechargeable Qi-technology-endowed OtterSpot Wireless Charging System ($69.95). The Qi charging pad acts as a base to fast-charge compatible wireless devices, including the wireless charging case for AirPods. Additional OtterSpot batteries can be stacked on the charging base of the OtterSpot system and then deployed around the home.
The system consists of a 36-watt base charging pad base, which powers up to three 5,000 mAh-capacity OtterSpot wireless batteries (additional batteries are sold separately for $69.95 each) and one device simultaneously. This solution, says Otterbox, prevents the tangling of wires on countertops and nightstands. An anti-slip surface holds the device in place while it is charging, and a USB-C cable is included to charge batteries when the charging base isn’t available. An LED display alerts users to the charging state and battery capacity.
