Oxygen, Westinghouse Launch “Girls Gone Wired”
Oxygen Media announced this week that it is launching a promotion aimed at encouraging tech savvy among women. Known as “Girls Gone Wired,” the program is being conducted with help from LCD manufacturer Westinghouse Digital.
The promotion consists of both local and national sweepstakes. The national contest will award a “Total Techover” to one winner, promoted by national promotional spots on Oxygen’s TV channel and Web site. The local contents will award “techovers” to 20 affiliate markets, in which winners will win as much as $5,000 worth of Westinghouse Digital products.
“Girls Gone Wired” will launch Aug. 13, and last through the end of December.
