Panasonic Becomes the Official Electronics Sponsor of U.S. Soccer and MLS
Panasonic announced the signing a new three-year sponsorship agreement with U.S. Soccer, as well as the renewal of their sponsorship of Major League Soccer (MLS). The company is now the official consumer electronics sponsor of both.
Panasonic's near 10-year involvement in the world of soccer is evidenced by the variety of technology used around soccer stadiums across the country which range from scoreboards to video displays to LED signage.
Joe Taylor, the CEO and Chairman of Panasonic Corporation of North America, stated that Panasonic's relationship with soccer was an ideal one due to their similar brand goals; both are on the rise in the US and appeal to a broad global audience.
