For only $69,999.95, you could be the proud owner of the largest high definition television in the world. Panasonic’s new TH-103PF9UK monitor is a 103-inch plasma display with a viewing area equivalent to four 50-inch televisions. Panasonic displayed the prototype for this model, which features full HD pixel resolution of 1,920 x 1,080p, a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 and 4,096 equivalent steps of gradation, at this year’s CES. It outsizes LG and Samsung’s largest models by one diagonal inch. The set includes the same multifunction back panel slots available on Panasonic’s 65-inch, 50-inch, 42-inch and 37-inch plasmas to allow for different input configurations. It comes standard with TY-FB9DD DVI board (compatible with UXGA input), TY-42TM6A analog component board, an integrated D-sub15 PC input, and an integrated D-sub9 RS232C interface. Panasonic is now accepting orders for the display, which will be available in Q4.
