Panasonic Brings 3D, "Avatar" on Tour
Panasonic has kicked off its 14-city "Unwrap 3D Tour," which the company is using to showcase its many 3D products to customers as they shop for the holiday season. Dealersope caught up with the tour Saturday at the King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia.
The purpose of the tour is to "educate the consumer on 3D technology from an electronics standpoint, and show them what's available," John Mulkey, a representative from the marketing company that carried out the tour, said.
The tour, which was held simultaneously in seven cities last week and visits seven more this week, features numerous applications of Panasonic's 3D technology, including photography, gaming, sports, and movie-watching. The latter is emphasized in Panasonic's exclusive bundle of the 3D Blu-ray Disc of "Avatar," along with its Panasonic VIERA VT Series or GT Series Full HD 3D Plasma TV and two pairs of 3D glasses.
