Panasonic Makes Hockey Deal
Panasonic has reached a deal to become an "Official Partner" of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, the company and team announced Tuesday. The deal is part of a "long-term agreement" the electronics giant has reached with AEG, which owns both the team and its arena, the Staples Center.
The deal, which will integrate Panasonic products into both the Kings' in-game experience and that at other AEG-owned venues, follows Panasonic's participation in last year's Beijing Olympics.
By integrating Panasonic technologies with the excitement of the LA Kings, we look forward to providing fans with the ultimate sports-entertainment experience," Panasonic's North America COO, Joseph Taylor, said as part of the announcement. "When fans attend the LA Kings hockey games, it will truly be an experience that is powered by Panasonic."
