Panasonic Launches Environmental Giving Program
Panasonic has announced a new initiative called “Panasonic Direct Giving Back,” under which consumers purchasing Panasonic products can direct a portion of the purchase price to one of three environmental organizations. The donation, usually totally five percent of the purchase price, is made at no additional cost to the purchaser.
The three organizations that will receive he donations are The National Recycling Coalition’s “America Recycles Day,” The Nature Conservancy’s “Rescue the Reef,” and the World Resources Institute’s “Green Power Market Development Group.”
In a statement, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Group E-Business executive Jeremy Dalnes called the program “a great way for consumers to make a purchase they feel good about, as they’re able to contribute to one of three environmentally friendly organizations with no cost to them.”
