Panasonic said Netflix functionality has been added to Viera Cast suite

Panasonic said Thursday that Netflix functionality has been added to its Viera Cast suite, which is available on Viera TVs and Blu-ray players.

Netflix joins Skype, YouTube, PiCasa and Amazon Video on Demand, among other features offered on the service.

"Panasonic is constantly looking to provide the best possible entertainment experience for our customers," Panasonic Corporation of North America vice president Merwan Mereby said as part of the announcement. "The addition of Netflix to our 2010 Viera Cast offerings now gives consumers access to the leading online movie subscription service right from their 2010 Viera Cast-enabled Viera HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc players.
