Panasonic, Samsung, Sony Form 3D Standard Alliance
Three major names in CE- Panasonic, Samsung and Sony- have joined with the company behind XPAND 3D to develop a new technology standard for active-shutter 3D glasses.
The alliance is known as the "Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative." The license is expected to be released next month, with Bluetooth a part of the new standard.
"We are delighted to contribute our efforts and technologies to the Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative for both RF and IR technology that we announced today with Panasonic, Samsung and Sony," Maria Costeira, XPAND 3D's CEO.
