Sell the benefits of HDTV
The customer may not understand the benefits of HDTV or its place at the top of the DTV lineup. In fact, she may believe she is watching HDTV already because she has seen the “presented in HD” tag at the bottom of her favorite show. Focus on some key benefits of HDTV and put them in terms a customer can understand.
First, explain that HDTV offers resolutions up to five times that of analog TV and even more than DVD, as well as remarkable improvements in brightness and color depth. That translates into a clearer and highly detailed image. Next, talk about the benefits of a widescreen set. Explain that, unlike analog’s square-ish picture, HDTV provides a widescreen image that more closely matches the movie theater experience.
