Every stakeholder is interested in having a national plan; there’s no debate about that. But about the actual details of what that plan looks like, there’s a significant debate. My hope is that we would have a plan within two years. That will be a function of how many more states pass very burdensome laws because that’s what’s pushed us to this point.
Energy prices are reaching the point where manufacturers get real economic benefit in making products in a more energy efficient way and making products that are more energy efficient themselves. Consumer behavior has to change due to the high price of oil. Ultimately, green is going to be the way of life. It’s no longer going to be a trend. It will be the only option.
