“As we talk to people here, it seems unanimous regardless of their product mix that foot traffic is very soft this summer. They’re just not seeing peole come into stores, regardless of the promotions they’re having. We’re hearing the last 45-60 days have just not been good. You can blame gas prices or the weather, but I tend to believe as retailers, the reality is that this is a great time to really look at all your systems, step back and see if you’re giving a customers a great experience when they come in the door. Sharpen the pencil now.”
