PCs and Peripherals Latest at Comdex
COMDEX Fall '99 marks the 20th anniversary of the convention. A number of keynote speakers and panels will discuss future topics, such as e-commerce, information appliances, broad band Internet. But that doesn't mean you won't find a wide range of new PCs and peripherals, and here's a taste of what will be on the floor.
Acer's ScanWit 2720S ($499) brings a new slide and film scanner that features 2700 x 2700 dpi optical resolution, 36-bit color, 40-second scanning speed at max resolution, a six-frame-loading mechanism that allows for simultaneous scanning, and one-touch scanning buttons.
Belkin Components' BusStation ($99.99 SRP) is a USB hub that allows the user to customize and organize compatible Belkin modules. It comes with a four-port base module and three slots for additional removable modules, which can work as stand-alone units and is available in USB to serial, USB to ethernet and USB to SCSI.
