Stampede announced the appointment of Kevin Kelly, previously vice president of sales and marketing, as its president and chief operating officer. In his new role, Kelly will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations. The company says this change in the company’s senior management will enable Mark Wilkins, the company’s previous president and current CEO, to develop Stampede’s new ventures and initiatives, specifically the Chinese and Latin American markets.
LG Electronics USA named John Herrington as President of its U.S. Digital Appliance Division. He has been with the company since 2001, serving as the division’s vice president of sales. Herrington succeeds Soon Kwon, who will now be responsible for digital appliance sales and marketing in the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of LG’s appliance business in the United States. Before joining LG he worked at Amana where he held a variety of executive level positions including vice president of marketing and national account sales.
Verizon Wireless named Jack Plating executive vice president and chief operating officer. Plating, currently president of the company’s South Area, will oversee the company’s nationwide sales and customer service operations, product development and marketing. Plating will report to Lowell McAdam, who was recently named president and chief executive officer of Verizon Wireless. Jim McGean succeeds Plating as South Area President; Mike Lanman Becomes Chief Marketing Officer.
