P&F USA Announces Dolby Vision HDR Software Update For Philips 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Players
P&F USA today announced the availability of a Dolby Vision HDR software update for two currently available Philips 4K UHD Blu-ray players. Now users can download the update to their players and enable Dolby Vision playback on any Dolby Vision enabled television, such as the new Philips 69 and 59 Series televisions.
The Philips BDP7502 and BDP7302 plays back content at four times the resolution of current Blu-ray players for a stunningly detailed image. Both players support generic HDR, also known as HDR10, and now with Dolby Vision enabled they take HDR to a new level with spectacular improvements in brightness, color, contrast, detail and dimensionality.
Dolby’s HDR innovation that powers the most advanced cinemas around the world, Dolby Vision transforms entertainment experiences by delivering greater brightness, contrast, and detail retention, as well as a fuller palette of rich colors. Dolby’s deep expertise in bringing advanced technologies from the cinema to the home and on the go has led to distinct features that enable Dolby Vision to deliver extraordinary viewing experiences to consumers using Philips UHD Blu-ray players and TVs.
