Pioneer adds "affordable" speakers to Dolby Atmos lineup
As Dolby Atmos grows in popularity among the installer class and consumers, Atmos-ready products continue to emerge. And the cost of entry to join the Atmos ecosystem keeps decreasing as well.
To wit: The latest addition to the marketplace comes from Pioneer Home Entertainment. Pioneer has announced two new "affordable" Dolby Atmos speakers: the $299.99-per-pair MSRP SP-BS22A compact speakers and the $199.99-per-pair SP-T22A-LR add-on speakers.
Pioneer said the speakers, designed by Andrew Jones, "are designed to bring the immersive Dolby Atmos playback experience to an even wider home entertainment audience." They are intended to be companions for the recently introduced Pioneer VSX-1130 and Elite VSX-90 Atmos-enabled receivers.
