Continuing to make music available wherever people travel, Pioneer Home Entertainment today launched two new products today: the XDP-30R Digital Audio Player (DAP) and the SE-CH5BL Hi-Res Earbuds. Compact in size, the XDP-30R sports big-time features including 2.5mm 4-pole balanced output; support for up to 5.6MHz DSD native playback; up-sampling of compressed audio up to 192kHz/32bit, and separate 44.1kHz and 48kHz clocks for both types of audio formats. The SE-CH5BL earbuds also come with a 2.5mm balanced connection, along with several design and patent-pending tech innovations.
Available now for an MSRP of $399.99 (USD) and $599.99 (CAD) and available in black and silver, the XDP-30R is a design marvel with the chassis milled out of a single block of aluminum and the twin ESS SABRE DAC “ES9018C2M” and SABRE “9601K” headphone amp chips are symmetrically laid out on the circuit board and separated from the power supply to minimize interference. The internal 16GB storage can be expanded to 528GB via two 256GB micro SD card slots while onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth make it easy to stream audio and connect to a wide variety of peripherals.
The XDP-30R comes with a 2.4in capacitive touch screen, along with a 3.5mm unbalanced headphone jack with line out mode. The player is highly customizable with a 10 band EQ that has 6 built-in presets and 3 customizable settings; three digital sound filters; bass enhancer for 5 distinct levels of bass, and remote operation via the free Pioneer DuoRemote smartphone app which can control playback, volume and other basic functions from your smartphone.
