Cartronics Wins Pioneer Build-Off
Pioneer Electronics announced Thursday that Cartronics has been named the winner of the fourth annual Pioneer Build-Off competition, which matches up teams from around the country in installing Pioneer's Stage 4 car audio components in a car, which was a 2010 Chevy Camero.
In addition to the title, the Atlanta-based Cartronics gets a $10,000 grand prize. Components used in the installation included Pioneer's reference Series CD tuner/digital media player, its 4-channel bridgeable full-range amplifier, its Class-D mono subwoofer amplifier, and its 6-3/4" component speaker package.
"We wanted the 2010 Sound Build-Off to clearly illustrate the Stage 4 system’s capabilities to produce the highest sound quality possible, as well as the importance of a quality installation to help achieve the ultimate in-car listening experience," Ted Cardenas, the director of marketing for Pioneer's car electronics department, said as part of the announcement.
